We are very fortunate to live and work in the Milton Ulladulla region. Bounded in the west by the mystical Budawang Ranges and in the east by the coast, Milton Ulladulla is graced with a temperate climate, rich agricultural soils and good rainfall.

The First Australians in our area are from the Yuin and Dharga language groups lending an identity to Ulladulla which means ‘safe harbour.’

Areas of true wilderness exist in the Budawangs where a step back to the origin of time is only a day walk. The beaches are so varied and plentiful that anyone can find their level whether it is between the flags at Mollymook Beach or wandering in our deserted unspoilt coastal National Parks. Home to some of the most fearsome surf breaks on the planet yet a beginner is also spoilt for choice with our endless sandy beaches. The lakes, rivers and estuaries provide a calm alternative for fresh and saltwater swimming and fishing.

All of this is within easy reach of Sydney, Wollongong and the national capital, Canberra. This combination of natural beauty, proximity to the major markets and improved transport links has seen tourism numbers increasing. Perhaps more importantly, the region is welcoming permanent residents from other areas of Australia at a rate exceeding all but one other location in NSW. We are growing.

No longer just an agricultural and fishing area, the major employment opportunities lie in retail, construction, hospitality and health services. More info here : Milton Ulladulla Industry and Employment

The coastal culture remains the drawcard and it is increasingly being added to by a thriving arts and cuisine community. A few of Australia’s finest restaurants and cafes are here and I wrote about some of the options a few years back in Breeze Magazine - Mollymook - the Inside Food Guide.

The last 12 months has seen the Shoalhaven at the top of the table in median value home price increase for the regions, edging out Shellharbour and Wingecarribee.

Geographically, statistically for investment, or in pure lifestyle terms the future of the Milton Ulladulla region is very bright indeed. Come join us, you will be made very welcome.
